Crimsonvine

This large tree grows up to 86 meters (282.2 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 168 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, wavy trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is yellow-brown.

The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with thick bunches of crispy, tiny, thin leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are olive at the bottom and red with hazel dots at the top.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, blood red berries.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
