Cyanheart

This huge flower grows up to 10.4 feet (3.2 meters) tall. Its cyan stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 6 and are very thick and straight, and split into numerous branching stems at the base, and the tiny, moss green leaves are broad, flat with toothed edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 53 cm (20.9 inches) wide, with aquamarine petals on the lower layer and slate petals decorated with washed-out yellow dots on the inner layer. The central disk is magenta. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of 7 widely spaced, narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like cigarette smoke, and it has lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
