Copperpine

This huge shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for around 29 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several very thick, crooked stems covered in thick, wrinkled, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are long and thin that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, long, narrow, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are aquamarine on the sides and copper at the center, strong and flexible and fuzzy.

It produces copious amounts of large, ashy red flowers with long, tapering petals. They detach easily and have a powerful scent that smells like a damp log. In late autumn it forms tinyslate, tough-shelled seeds.
