Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely light; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
