Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 33 feet (10.1 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is emerald, and is covered in thousands of rigid lime spines. The rounded-edged, finger-like leaves are crimson and dark grey. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a loosely patterned way. The leaves are hardy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is quick growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are black in the center, bronze in the middle and lilac at the edges, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 12 petals. It has a weak scent that smells like rotten meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the gentle orange flesh is smooth, and the blue sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It has impressive regenerative properties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
