Silverleaf Succulent

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall. The narrow stem is red, and is covered in lots of fine, white, hair-like spines. The rounded leaves are silver with amber tips. Thick bunches of them grow on round, yellow-green branches that are very long and thin. The leaves are light, and detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 23 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are magenta at the sides and bronze at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. It has a weak scent that smells like fruity.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the olive flesh is rough, and the orange sap is thin.
