Emerald

This large flower grows up to 5.9 feet (1.8 meters) tall. Its emerald stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 6 and are very thin and straight, and split into several branching stems at the base, and the miniature, emerald leaves are needle-like with rounded edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Two large flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 41 cm (16.1 inches) wide, with petals that are either light brown or pink, with a yellow center. The flower head is largely flat with many tightly layered narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like vanilla, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
