Aquamarine

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 71 feet (21.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 27 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, dark green bark, and inside, the very light wood is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are short and thick and are covered with very large amounts of huge, wispy leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in lime, brown and grey varieties.

In early spring, it produces many balls of medium-sized, aquamarine blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like bonfire smoke.

In mid-autumn it produces , needle-like fruit. The fuzzy yellow skin is delicate and sweet, and the soft cream flesh is sweet and powdery. The white seeds are tiny and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
