Grayvine

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 177 feet (53.9 meters) and growing as high as 144 feet (43.9 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 19 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 6 inches (15 cm) and are tough and woody.

The wide, rough leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (53 cm) in length. They are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to olive at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thick bunches of small caramel flowers.
