Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs, In marshes, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly light.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
