Golden Speargrass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small, gold grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The spear shaped stalks grow in thick clumps that are strong and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, light brown flower.
During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
The sap is blood red.
