Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In damp forests, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
