Copperpetal

This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is brown, and is dotted with small subtle orange spines. The straight, gold trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter at the bottom. Its gray branches are very short and slender and start growing three quarters of the way up the stem.

The sparse amounts of rounded-edged, very thin leaves are black and copper. They are strong and flexible, but take little effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are either crimson or cyan, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like fruity.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the blue flesh is smooth, and the grey sap is thin.
