Azure Spineleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is azure, and is covered in dozens of flexible slate spines. The knobbly leaves are washed-out blue on the sides and sky blue at the center. Small amounts of them grow on very thick, lime green branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are resilient, and detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either yellow or copper, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 27 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like rotting meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the blue flesh is rough, and the brown sap is thin.

It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for making strong rope
