Silvervine

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 58 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous narrow, wavy stems covered in paper-thin, waxy, silver bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, asymmetrical, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid lime with black patches, flexible and sticky.

It produces many small, bronze flowers with many layers of petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like rotten eggs. In late summer it forms largebrilliant green seed pods.
