Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The thick stem is orange, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible olive spines. The rounded-edged, sickle shaped leaves are found in bronze, blood red and white varieties. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are resistant, and take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 11 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid aquamarine petals decorated with cyan lines and a purple central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like candle wax.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the violet flesh is smooth, and the pink sap is thin.

Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
