Aquamarine Fern Bush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has many narrow, straight stems covered in wrinkled, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of small, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid aquamarine or olive, with sky blue lines, light and crispy.

In late summer it produces a handful of medium-sized, white flowers with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like pot-purri.
