Bloodvine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This large shrub grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for around 92 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has dozens of flexible, crooked stems covered in thick, knobbly, yellow bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.
The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of miniature, thick, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in red, blood red and white varieties, delicate and waxy.
In mid-summer it produces lots of tiny, white flowers with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like something putrid.
It can flourish even in standing water.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
