Copperbrush

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 150 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of branched, angular stems covered in thin, smooth, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, very thin, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are purple and blue, robust and sticky.

In early summer it produces bunches of tiny, copper flowers with 5 crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like skunk spray.
