Blood Red

This big caudiciform grows up to 16 feet (4.9 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. The crooked, blood red trunk can grow to as much as 16 feet (4.9 meters) in diameter at the top. Its cream and light brown branches are tall, rigid and upright and start growing at the top the stem.

The thick bunches of ripped-edged, very thick leaves are brown on the sides and muted red at the center. They are resilient, but take some effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with yellow petals that gradient shift to dark grey on the outer edge. The central disk is olive grow at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 6 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotting meat.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the blue flesh is smooth, and the sky blue sap is thin.
