Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This massive tree grows up to 145 meters (475.7 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3681 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, cracked, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is silver.
The numerous branches trail down towards the ground, covered with small amounts of large, white needles. The needles themselves are rigid.
In late summer it produces giant, olive, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The bark is frequently covered in moss.
