Crimson Bog Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In bogs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly flimsy; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores.
