Emerald Bog Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is slightly robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
