Firegrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big, bold orange and white grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in thick clumps that are resilient and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, magenta puff.

During the early winter, it produces excessive amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
The sap is green.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
