Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly sturdy; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.
