Golden Thornleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is gold, and is covered in handfuls of fine, crimson, hair-like spines. The slender leaves are found in gold and bold purple varieties. Very large amounts of them grow on stumpy, gray branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are hardy, but take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with hazel petals that gradient shift to cream on the outer edge. The central disk is azure grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 27 curved petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like old shoes.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the light brown flesh is rough, and the green sap is thin.

It is suitable for making paper
It can survive a very long time without water.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
