Copper Moss

It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly flimsy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
