Magenta

This massive flower grows up to 8.9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is very thin and straight, and the small, burgundy leaves are very thin with wavy edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 40 cm (15.7 inches) wide, with petals that are magenta on the edges and violet at the center. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 26 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like warm milk, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
