Copperleaf

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 148 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many slender, twisting stems covered in ridged, light brown bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches are short stubs with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of large, very thin, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are copper with copper tips, light and frail and soft.

In mid-summer it produces many bunches of tiny, dark grey flowers with flame-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a powerful scent that smells like pot-purri.
