Bronzeberry

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 60 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is yellow.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, asymmetrical leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are green and caramel.

In early spring, it produces thousands of giant, bronze blossoms with 9 circular shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like faeces.

In early winter it produces small, oblong fruit. The hairy olive skin is peel-able and inedible, and the soft purple flesh is sweet and bitter and juicy. The lime seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
