Coniapple Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 33 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in delicate, wrinkled, brown and grey bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale brown.

The small bunches of branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of large, very narrow and elongated leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of green that gradient shifts to copper at the top.

In early spring, it produces lots of medium-sized, vivid orange blossoms with broad, flat petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like warm milk.

In mid-summer it produces small, teardrop-shaped fruit. The rubbery caramel skin is stretchy and inedible, and the very soft white flesh is sweet and very juicy. The gold seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

The sap is edible and slightly sour.
