This average-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 49 feet (14.9 meters)0. It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 18 months for the muted green and moss green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The crescent-shaped, crispy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are either olive or blood red, with peach dots, and have toothed edges.
