Emerald Clump Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In damp forests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly robust.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
