Aquamauve Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This giant tree grows up to 112 meters (367.5 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 116 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, rough, brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of sticky, miniature, long, narrow leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid lilac with aquamarine streaks.

In late summer it forms small, silver, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
