Clinging Vineberry

This giant shrub grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for around 88 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous branched, slanted stems covered in paper-thin, waxy, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches trail down across the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, thin, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are orange-yellow with crimson tips, delicate and clammy.

It produces balls of medium-sized, violet flowers with V-shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like soap. In early summer it forms medium-sizeddark grey, shelled seeds.
