Blue Crescent Moss

This faded blue moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In rainforests, On trees, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is slightly hardy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
