Bloodbloom

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 89 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several branched, straight stems covered in thick, silky, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches are short stubs that and are covered with large amounts of miniature, fan-like, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are generally blood red, tough and soft.

In early spring it produces lots of giant, cyan flowers with perforated petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a weak scent that smells like skunk spray.
