Clinging Willow

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 49 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous knobbly, slanted stems covered in thick, knobbly, brown bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches trail down across the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of large, long, tapering, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in gentle red, caramel and sky blue varieties, tough and waxy.

In late summer it produces a handful of small, silver flowers with perforated petals. They are hardy and have a weak scent that smells like rotten eggs.
