Clinging Indigo??

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, curved trunk covered in knobbly, yellow bark, and inside, the very hard wood is brown.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with handfuls of small, very thin leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid indigo or olive, with slate patches.

In early spring, it produces many giant, gentle red blossoms with broad, flat petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like rotten eggs.

In early summer it produces , pleated fruit. The clammy dark brown skin is delicate and inedible, and the soft cyan flesh is spicy and powdery. The cream seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
