Cliffvine

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 177 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many flexible, wonky stems covered in cracked, light brown bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches are long, thin and wispy that and are covered with handfuls of giant, very thick, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are aquamarine and indigo, light and smooth.

In mid-spring it produces hundreds of medium-sized, amber blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like glue.

In mid-autumn tiny broad, flat fruits ripen. The hairy blood red skin is delicate and extremely salty, and the very soft white flesh is sweet and sour and dry. The bronze seeds are small and are bunched at the top of the fruit.
