Clinging Wispy Petal

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is wispy, and the miniature, lime green leaves are wispy with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with petals that are turquoise in the center, black in the middle and aquamarine at the edges. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 38 tightly layered, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like lavender, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
