Bloodfire Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 28 feet (8.5 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 3 pleated stems. Each stem is olive, and is covered in thousands of rigid grey spines. The mushroom-shaped body is green, and is covered in large amounts of flexible white spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are red on the edges and blood red at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of 8 petals in raised layers. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like garlic.

The cactus's skin is thick, the lime flesh is rubbery, and the bronze sap is thin.

The entire plant is edible and the grains areoverwhelmingly sour.
It is suitable for making paper
Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
