Clinging Aquamarine Vine

This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 36 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, wonky trunk covered in thin, smooth, dark green bark, and inside, the light wood is pine-coloured.

The branches are very short and thick and are covered with small amounts of small, perforated leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise on the sides and indigo at the center.

In early spring, it produces several giant, aquamarine blossoms with wide petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like cinnamon.

In early summer it produces , 2 pointed fruit. The smooth slate skin is tough and salty and sour, and the crunchy turquoise flesh is salty and sticky. The white seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
