Copper Heath Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands, In bogs, and On rotten logs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely flimsy.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
