Spiralpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3699 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in fine, rough, brown and grey bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale yellow.

The thin clumps of branches trail down towards the ground, with dozens of twigs covered with large amounts of huge, orange-yellow needles. The needles themselves are sturdy.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, beige seed pods.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
Several parts of the tree have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
