Peach Bluebell

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized flower grows up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) tall. Its green stem is thin and splits into several branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the tiny, red leaves are long, narrow with smooth edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with peach petals that gradient shift to muted blue on the outer edge. The central disk is brilliant yellow. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. They detach easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like rotting meat, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
