Climbing Ropevine

This short vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 91 feet (27.7 meters).

It takes 2 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are smooth and slick.

The wispy, soft leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are solid yellow with orange patches, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thick bunches of large washed-out purple flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny seed pods.
