Golden Petalfern

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is very thick, and the small, emerald leaves are circular with jagged edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

3 to 5 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 45 cm (17.7 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of gold. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of dozens of raised, narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like a woman, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
