Clinging Scarlet Vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 5 feet (1.5 meters) and growing as high as 475 feet (144.8 meters).
It takes 3 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and woody.
The slender, pointed, rough leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are bronze and dark grey, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the vine produces thousands of average lime flowers.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
