Emerald Flame Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In rainforests, On rotten logs, and In bogs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly rigid.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
